It is time for us, as a country, to get to work.
Work sucks. That’s part of the definition, I think. Here’s what dictionary.com says (a few excerpts actually- my emphases)
1. exertion or effort directed to produce or accomplish something; labor; toil.
4. employment, as in some form of industry, esp. as a means of earning one’s [...]

So our esteemed president is catching a lot of flak for a lot of things. A person in his position expects this and I wouldn’t want to disappoint…
First- Props to the man for helping NASA out of a bind. NASA is a horribly broken program but with some help, can turn itself into something good [...]

A few things that have been roiling around in my head.
A brilliant friend of mine was involved in a political campaign recently and brought up a bunch of things that I’ve been contemplating. She helped me put these things into a better perspective so now I’m putting it out here. Talk with me about these [...]

Weeeeeeeeehooo!
First off- Congrats to Iowa and Vermont! “As Iowa goes, so goes the nation” is a phrase heard around national election time but this time around, some people are hoping that’s not the case. What an awesome weekend.
First (This isn’t in order, just the biggest thing)- My wife ran 23 miles yesterday. Twenty Freaking Three. And she looked GOOD. Not like Jessica Biel good, but I bet she looked way better than Biel would have after twenty-three miles of running. How crazy is that? [...]

Disclaimer: This post will contain a lot of generalizations. They will be generally accurate but there are exceptions to everything. Also- I’m looking to my dad on this one because he knows stuff about this from a first-hand point of view that I do not.
Labor unions need to go the way of the [...]

Rate cut after rate cut from the Fed hasn’t had an impact on consumer spending… and I have a theory as to why.
Perhaps people are starting to realize that an economy built on debt, funded by a currency with no material standard, and dictated over by a privately held banking cartel isn’t that stable. [...]

So I don’t blog enough. Sorry… Let’s start with a quick update.
Carley ran ten miles yesterday. yeah… ten. She made it look easy. Bella may have run nine… we’ve no way of tracking her and she is in constant motion… marathon training seems to be going well.
The weight tracker over [...]

By now you’ve heard all about the Big Three (an increasing misnomer) returning to Washington to beg the government for a bailout. You’ve probably heard them say that if they go under, the economy will fail. You may have heard about their last visit to Washington in which each of the execs flew [...]
